Mario Mola is one of the most decorated Olympic Distance triathletes in the history of the sport, and is currently ranked #2 in the world. He is the 2016, 2017 and 2018 ITU Word Champion. He is also a three-time Olympian, competing in the 2012 London, 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Games.Originally from Palma de Mallorca, Mola began swimming at age 5. But it wasn’t before age 15 that he started riding a bike. Shortly after, he fell in love with triathlon and became the World Junior Champion in 2009. When he isn’t competing and training, Mario lives with his wife Catalan triathlete Carolina Routier, and is completing his economics degree.
